The following is a series of pictures that illustrate Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in action. These pictures will help you visualize the disease process, and allow for a better understanding of the disease.
This picture illustrates the immature cells(cells stained purple). As you can probably observe, these cells seem to be larger than the surrounding cells. The danger posed by them lies in the fact that they start to consume a larger quantity of oxygen, thereby depriving the healthy cells their share of the oxygen.
