About ThinkQuest

The ThinkQuest® Internet Challenge Contest encourages students of ages 12 through 19, along with their coaches, to create high-merit educational tools using the Internet. The contest encourages collaboration, leadership and critical thinking skills that help raise students' technological and academic abilities. As a result of participation of nearly 20,000 students and coaches, ThinkQuest has become the fastest growing non-profit educational program in the world! Outstanding effort is rewarded with scholarships of $5,000 to $25,000 and other prizes.

For students in grades 4 - 6, ThinkQuest offers its Junior contest designed to promote active interest in computers and the Internet.

Pre-service teachers and current K - 12 and college educators can participate in "ThinkQuest for Tomorrow's Teachers" contest. Teams of four to seven develop Web-based curricula and compete for over $500,000 in cash awards.

Overall, students compete for over $2,000,000 in scholarships and cash prizes.
