It is the fastest in the universe, and has to be the fastest, since nothing can even reach its speed. It can split into colours, and can be recombined from colours. It helps us to see, for without it, our world would have been a dark one. In fact, a universe without it cannot even be imagined.

Light, or "Adustum", as it is known in Latin,is a most apt title for our web site. Light is the ultimate form of energy. It is not just about the visible wavelengths, but even more about the numerous others, that sustain life on earth. White light received from the Sun has all these wavelengths, and forms a much wider electromagnetic spectrum, that the visible spectrum we can see. Well, that is what our site is all about - not just visible light, but light as a whole.

Each of the six main links in the site come with a set of sub-links that deal with individual topics. Besides text, there is a huge collection of diagrams and images that have been prepared and collected to make the matter more lucid and interesting.
