The Church of Ilya Prophet

The church of Ilya Prophet is the branch of the state historical- architectural museum-reserve .The construction of the Church was executed in 1647-1650 on means of the merchants Ioanikia and Vofinatiy Scripin. It is represented by the five-headed temple with three chapels, two storied gallery and tent bell- tower.
The historical value is represented by the list of walls of a cathedral executed by the foremen led by Guriy Nikitin and Force Savin, where alongside with traditional Bible legends we meet plots borrowed from moral collections, stages from daily life. Many architectural monuments are also very interesting especially the monuments of the 17-th century the Gold page in the history of local architecture.
