What has happened in the past, and what is happening now?  This page of this site is constantly under construction by you the user.  It has been started with a few entries but needs more.  You may read what is already here below the timeline form  Send in your additions to the timeline on the form below and they will be incorporated in.  The more everyone adds, the better the timeline will be.  You may also send in attachments of graphics or pictures that go well with your timeline input.

1986 - First Virus

	The Brain virus, created in Pakistan, was the first virus found on IBM computers. This was a stealth virus that was relatively harmless.  It changed the volume label in the computer.
	The first PC trojan also appeared this year.

1990 - Numbers Increasing

	This year, there were up to 500 known viruses
	The first polymorphic virus was also discovered this year. It was the Chameleon.

The Melissa virus was spread around the world in just a few hours time.  It was considered the fastest spreading virus to date. It is a combination worm and macro virus.
