Find
out If You Have One of These Common Conditions Above
What
is it?
The conjunctiva
is the extremely fine outer layer of the eye commonly known as the
white of the eye. Red eyes, or subconjunctival hemorrhage, is when
a red spot shows up on this part of the eye. It is more visually unappealing
and irritating than it is harmful.
What
causes it?
It is caused
by the rupture of blood vessels in the eye. Again, this may
sound bad but it really is not too harmful. These vessels may break
due to a sudden jolt to the eye such as a blow to the head area or
a strong cough.
Symptoms
1.
abnormal
red spot on conjunctiva (white of eye)
Treatment
A trip
to the eye doctor may be required if this spot appears on a continual
basis, however; random redness is not a big problem.
Possible causes for this condition to reappear could be from blood
clotting problems or even high blood-pressure.
