What
is it?
This is
a condition in which the eyelids are inflamed. You may feel
some burning and/or itchy feeling. This gateway condition could very
possibly lead to corneal inflammation and conjunctivitis.
What
causes it?
This condition
is very different from most others in that it is not hereditary or
age related. In many cases, poor hygiene causes this condition.
If the area around the eyes (eyelids, eyelashes, etc.) are not kept
clean, marginal blepharitis may occur.

Treatment
In simple
terms, keeping your eyes and the surrounding areas clean will have
a significant impact on reducing your chance of getting this condition.
If some treatment is necessary, soaking and cleansing the eyes are
a must. There is no medicine to cure this. With time, however,
the condition should lessen until it is completely gone.
