What is it?

Most of us have heard or maybe even know of people who have a light-eyed, all white complexion. There's nothing really life-threatening about being Albino, it's just that patients have light-colored eyes. There is little to no pigment (color compounds) in the iris and so the blood vessels inside the eyes reflect through. The iris is what determines the color of your eyes.

What causes it?

Albinism is completely caused by genetics. It can be hereditary or a change in the genes.

Treatment

For albinos who do not like getting attention from others, special colored contacts may alter the color of the eyes.
