Cognitive Topics - Introduction

Cognitive psychology is a new branch of psychology that only arose as recently as the 1970’s, when psychologists became interested in studying mental processes and their effects on behavior. Cognitive psychologists study thinking, memory, and information processing. These three areas include many topics. The topics of cognitive psychology that we will cover, in this section are cognitive development, thinking, reasoning, problem solving, language, and memory.
