Wed Mar 20 09:13:54 EST 2002 Hello, I saw the message board and thought I would post.
I am doing something in my US history class about the 1920's. A Newspaper to be precise. I need some information on the 20's. Events that happened important people, Natural disasters (for the weather section). I could really use a hand on this, I'd like to have something no one else in my class has. I'm trying to find a bit on Chicago, because it's only about 2 hours from here. So if you could help me with that I would appreciate it.
Also, I am trying to recall the name of a disaster in Chicago. I can't recall the date, but I know it was pretty far back, and wouldn't really surprise me if it was in the 20's. A boat was in a river... for the life of me I cannot recall the name... and before it even left the port, it tipped. Many people drowned. It isn't the most pleasant thing, but I would like to find out about it. If anyone knows what I am refering to, please let me know.
Sites would be greatly apprieciated as well.
Thank you for your time.
