The first golden age of roller coasters were in the Roaring Twenties. Famous roller coasters include the Coney Island Cyclone. People enjoyed them alot during the twenties. Note that the three of the most twisted, exhilarating, and wicked roller coasters ever created were built in 1920's; they were designed by Harry Traver. The most notable one is the Crystal Beach Cyclone, of Crystal Beach, Ontario. People would break their bones, ribs, and even necks riding this wooden "twister". Heck, Crystal Beach had to hire nurses on the spot awaiting for and repairing injured riders! The Cyclone survived till the early 40's. |
