Almost every human settlement has its own "specialists" in the field of magic. For example in Baba there is a specialist woman in undoing something already done or changing the course of things: "I know how to change the facts. People come to me only for this. It is all I can do even if some say different. People say a lot of things, but it is not fair. It is good to help them, as they don't come here out of welfare, but out of misfortune." (We insisted on her telling us the magic practice, because the old woman refused, as she performs it only in need and she thought that it was not good to say it just like that to the uninitiated who can go wrong. We had to convince her that we weren't intending to put it in practice and so it couldn't be possible a shifting of the spell in the wrong way to a certain person. And thus she didn't get the sense of telling the charm, couldn't see the use of our research, since she failed in reaching the cause.)
" I'm going to tell you, but beware, you mustn't do it wrong "God forbid!" because it's dangerous. The charm can turn over yourself and you can die. I can show it (the doing) into the ground. I need a rubbish shovel, knife, three grains of pepper, some paprika, three pieces of garlic, a cup of virgin water. It can be done only after sunset. The man comes along with his children or alone or bringing a shirt belonging to the sick person. He must stand directed to East, barefooted, naked. And I spell like this three times:
"Lord, Holy Mary,
Holy Mother,
I don't surround this earth,
But surround the doing on (the name of the sick person) ,
May the doing dry,
May John became clean, full of light,
As made by God,
To return in his powers,
As the rye in its flowers!"
I take the knife and keep uttering the spell and start to pierce the ground, which is better if covered with grass. I cut the ground, and take the piece aside to make a pit. I put the piece of ground aside. (Only two lines are different):
"I don't take the knife
But the doing off John."
After the charm, the knife is thrusted into the ground near the sick person. I cast a spell over the rubbish shovel, the pepper, the garlic and lay them near the knife. Each object must be charmed thrice, changing only the lines that render the contents, e.g.:
" I don't choose this pepper
But I choose John
To dry the doing..."
I set the rubbish shovel on fire and cast the spell. I spit on the embers in the rubbish shovel and put it into the pit. Over it I put the pepper, the paprika, the garlic and the ground put aside.
I put the ground upside down and I cast the spell again:
           "I am not twisting up this ground
           But I twist the doing off John."
When I have put them all , I take the glass with the water spelled in the same way and pour it over the ground sprinkling it again conversely to the cut. If there remains water in the cup , he is saved. When I have watered three times I take out the knife , uttering again the spell .No one  speaks anything, but  I, when I exorcise.
    There is to be mentioned out of our informer's statements that purifying gestures are always done and that is very important that nobody should speak and that it can be performed only after sunset. We also understand that it is too dangerous and requires a certain experience .
 

 The arsenal of magic gets richer with animals ,insects, objects and new conduits related to gestures and times of the day.
        "When children are cursed by their mother or other people, when you see spots, rashes and irritations showing up on their face, and not only the children but anybody, it is good to heal them with earth oil.
The earth oil is prepared necessarily on Tuesday night between 11 and 2 o'clock ,where no bark or cock-a-doodle -doo is heard. During the day the sick person asks nine widows to give him nine sort of seeds. You take a clay pot without an ear and another one that matches  the neck of the first one,then you put in the pot unsalted pork grease. Then you put the grease and the seeds to give power to each other. You put then wheat straws as many as necessary for the oil not to flow by them. When the night comes you go between the boundaries without speaking to anyone and dig a pit. In the pit you light a fire , small one, to obtain some embers. You lay the empty pot upside down over the other pot(the filled one) so that the dirt doesn't get inside and light a big fire over the pot.
