Comment/Commentaire :Dear Team It's a very good site . but i don't think that such a 12 and 15 age can build such a site . i'm 18 years old and i have much references and experiences in the internet and webdisgn field exceeds 5 years . and i didn't see students in your age make that work so i think there is a big aid ( almost done by the coaches or any other persons ) . i wish my words won't be removed from this guestbook because i will talk freely . I'm Egyptian and i know that 12 or 15 years must have a limited skills ( if also he is a genius ) [ einstein ] , What they can do ? they can build a site ? it is ok . Flash ! it is ok . but a student that didn't exceeds 12 years can do Flash, Java, and games !! hehe i will leave this answer to you and to the judges of the ThinkQuest and to the users of this site. and you have to know that the Egyptian schools don't teach Flash or applets and if they teach students are not able to work a long time on the computers because of the limited number of it ( if also you are in a very famous school ) so .. . there must be aids ( or as i told before the students aids the coaches in building the site :)) ) i hope my words come wrong . but sorry i will contact the HelpDesk and the national partner of Egypt. Ms/ Heba Ramzy sorry for my heavy words forgive me and if you want to tell me anything please reply on my e-mail.

Comment/Commentaire :I'm pretty amazed by the bountiful amount of content on the site. You must have spent a lot of work on the site! But I'm raising my doubts - 12 and 15 year old students handling these huge amounts of information and making them into a site complete with flash and java - now that's something to think about. Perhaps having a third member in the team would make everything look more realistic, but having only the two of you work on such a huge site - it will be hard for most of us to believe that the work is only done by the two of you. I am not going to discredit anyone now. It's up to you and me to believe that two 12 and 15 year olds did a huge site on Quantum Mechanics - a topic even college students wouldn't muster to comprehend. No matter what, it's truly an educational site. Glad that you're looking forward to the interview with the judges. You'll most probably make it. But I suggest you retain your java and flash skills just in case the judges request that you do a demonstration - just the judges and you two in the room - I'm pretty sure they'll be thrilled with two such multitalented students. Good luck.

Comment/Commentaire :Hello Guys, Great job! I have never seen a sight giving such a great introduction to quantum mechanics! I have never seen a two people so young show such mastery of such a difficult subject! Do not take any of the harsh criticism you have recieved about your oustanding site; when people see such a work as great as this, they naturally feel jealousy and resentment. This cynister world of ours has lost all faith in the goodness and greatness of humanity. We have lost faith in our children. I have faith in humanities greatest abilities. You have risen to an outstanding challenge, and you have made an oustanding and hugely impressive website. Words can not describe how impressed I am with your work. In fact, I am so impressed with it, I will be using it this month when I will be teaching quantum mechanics to a high school class. I am a freshman in college, at MIT. I hope you have no objections to me using your site to help me teach this class! I will give you full credit and tell them about your impressive accomplishments. Will you please reply to me directly via email (deleted), as I may not remember to check back to this message board? Tell me how the competition went, and how you did? No matter how it turned out, let me tell you have made an oustanding contribution to the Internet community, and have added a valuable website that no doubt will be read and used by students and teachers of quantum mechanics for many years! I wish you the best of luck, and I await further correspondence with you! Your new friend, Dan

The information is logically sequenced and explained simply and concisely. It serves as a great introduction to quantum mechanics. I learnt more in one hour than I would during an entire day at school. I only found out a few minutes ago (from reading other people's rather nasty remarks) that this site was created by two teenagers several years younger than myself - very impressive! Congratulations once again and well done!

I met a young Man at a dinner party last night. He told Me during a conversation that His father is a Professor of Physics, and had recieved a Nobel Prize for His work in the 1950's by creating breakthroughs in Quantum Mechanics logic when not many thought it was possible. We spoke of many of the same things you have here on your site. I Myself have been working on theories of being in two places at the same time. The Metaphysics are very difficult to transfer to scientific documentation standards. However, if I am not completely Mad in My thinking, I have in fact done this.

Comment/Commentaire: Nice site, enjoyed the first few pages....However, they were the only ones that I could actually download! My connection speed is fine but your site was at a total standstill....Perhaps you should complain to whoever provides the server. I can only say that if I don't get a reply, I assume that the site is always like this and I won't come back; which would be a shame because from what I have seen, it is awesome. Take heed, though, you shouldn't use text as graphics; very slow, and the flash takes a long time to load and I've had enough! How about offering a simpler sister site to actually show the facts rather than your drawing skills. Which, now I come to think of it, are still not synonymous with your grasp of understanding, quality of site, content and your ages. Sorry, but unless it was proved, I'd say that it was impossible to have a site like this created by a 12 and 15 year old. P.S. I really would like to be proved wrong!

Comment/Commentaire: Finally managed to access the rest of the site.....And.....Nice content with no show of actual understanding. Surely this should be a site for the layman but does not explain any of the fundamentals of the implications of such a theory. I would never say I am an expert and know that I am a relative newcomer to the subject. However, I came to this site to find a thesis and have only been bombarded with superficial theories and 'facts' with no real understanding. Severely disappointed is the only conclusion that I can draw. Is there anyone who knows where I can find an in-depth description of the implications of such a diverse subject? No offence, but anyone can copy published works, it takes a great mind to explain them......Try Stephen Hawkings, "A brief history of time" who explains in his findings very quickly the inconsistency of the 'Big Bang Theory' - A good example to follow.....The book has excellent justification that is severely lacking in this work.....Impressive for such young people, but when the site is studied, it shows you for the age that you are.

I am regenerated in my thinking and again inspired. Await a new understanding on Time, Space, & Human Existance. Although under my theory the word await does not really exist because that word in itself acknowledges that something has not yet happened and therefore accepts time as a concept other than our own way of justifying our existence.   Comment/Commentaire: Your website is very substantial in a sense that all the basic information a researcher would need could be easily read. Im studying "Quantum Mechanics" and I find your presentation very informative, better than the presentation of some books which seldom discuss the basics in an elaborate manner.

Comment/Commentaire: Very well done with the site, I am a total newcommer to this and maybe I understand a 10th of the content. I logged on to check Quantam Mechanics after reading "From the Corner of His Eye" by Dean Koontz. While I accept this is a work of fiction, QM is mentioned and explained within it. Can anyone help me understand Tom Vanadium's explanation of the QM theory in explaining his dissapearing coin trick in the book, answers to my email address please (deleted) Thanks

I understood you're egyptian students...well I must conclude that there is certainly a lot of hope for the so called undevelopped countries, if kids like you go into it. Really amazing site !!! 10/10.

Comment/Commentaire: Excellent material. I am quite impressed that two kids of your age were capable of explaining this theory. Pay no attention to criticism. People like that, unfortunately, will always be around. You made no promise of offering an 'in depth' explanation of Quantum Theory, so I dont see why they brought this up in their criticism of the site. Also, Thank goodness for the uncertainty principle! Otherwise life would be such a drag... Also, I liked how you used the monkey from the Tintin adventure "The Black Island", I was quite delighted to see him used in such a manner. A bit of constructive criticism: you ought to have someone proofread your english version of the site. There were a few small but nonetheless noticeable grammatical errors that disrupted the flow of the language. I dont know if english is your first language(judging from the comments other people have said, i would guess not), but I think the site would be better if the english was perfect. It would make it easier to read for annoying people like me who notice this sort of thing... In any case, great work. Good luck to both of you, adios

Comment/Commentaire: I was stunned by your web site. I was a journalist for nearly 10 years--five of them spent writing about computer technology--yet I have hardly ever read a clearer explanation of a technical subject than your explanation of quantum mechanics. I knew nothing about the subject before I happened on your site. Having read it, I realized that the bio of a "physicist" I recently met doesn't check out. The mathematical description of electron behavior he claimed to be working on seems to have already been articulated by physicists 70 years ago. If you ever wonder whether it's worth all the effort to put together a web site about an arcane subject like quantum mechanics, I hope these comments from an ordinary (non-scientific) person count for something. You've made information (that would otherwise be far too mathematical for me to comprehend without taking a course or several) easy-to-understand and intriguing. Thank you. P.S. I must admit I have a few questions about your bios too.

Comment/Commentaire: My husband and I have been arguing (constructively) for about a week now over some of the theories of quantum mechanics and the many implications it can have over everyday life. I am very thrilled to find such a site where we can both read, digest, and comprehend the theories and ideas presented. I have been looking at many other websites and have found them to be extremely technical, myself being lost in the massive amounts of equations. I am a 20-year old female who is majoring in Business Administration, but my interest in QM is one of my many side-projects so-to-speak. I would like to stay on top of any future developments in the field of QM, so if you have any website references for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the dedication to bringing QM to the populous! Kacey--

Comment/Commentaire: I realy like your site, but I have one problem with it. I realy dont think that the philisophical part of the site should have been included. I think that Quantum Mechanics is some thing that stops philosophie dead in its tracks. The fact that you start to bring God and stuff like that into the mix dosent help very much. I think that if Plank, Einstine and Bohr were still around they would say the same thing. Thanks alot and keep up the great work on your site!

Comment/Commentaire: A grammatical error appears in your text under the heading 'But what is Quantum Mechanics?' The error lies in the writer's not having made a distinction between a defining and a non-defining relative pronoun. Your sentence reads 'Quantum Mechanics is a branch of physics, which deals with the behavior of matter and light on the atomic and sub-atomic scale.' In this sentence, the relative pronoun's close proximity to the noun "physics", from which it is separated by an exclusionary comma, attaches the "which' to "physics" in the reader's mind instead of to "Quantum Mechanics". Now, though physics does deal with things on the atomic and sub-atomic scale, just as it deals with things on the larger (macro) scale, your sentence should be written to convey the fact that quantum mechanics specifically deals with the atomic and sub-atomic (micro) scale. To convey this fact, the relative pronoun "which" should agree with the nominative antecedent "Quantum Mechanics" and not the misleading object of the prepositional phrase "...of physics,..." How do you make it agree in this way? Simply by removing the comma. In doing this the writer will change the non-restrictive "which" into the restrictive one "that" (or, if you like, "which"): "Quantum Mechanics is a branch of physics that (which) deals with....". With this change, the reader has no doubt that "Quantum Mechanics" and not "physics" is the area of study that the writer will discuss and explained.

Comment/Commentaire: Excellent site - as a casual surfer with an urge to find out a bit more about QM, your site gave me everything I needed to start me off. As James F said earlier, the site never claimed to be a complex analysis. As to the comments about your ages/abilities, I have to to say that, having taught ICT to a class of 5 and 6 year olds, I believe it is perfectly possible for people of your ages to produce this style of web page, given the opportunities. A six year old can create a link - I've seen it happen! Great work. :-)

By the way, this is an excellent looking site, much better than anything I can make. And I've taken three computer classes at school. Then again, just bacause you're taking a class doesn't mean you're learning anything, right?!?! Well, anyway, it's a great looking site, and I'm planning on telling all my friends to visit, whether they want to know about quantum mechanics or not. Thanks a ton!!!
