 Ever dreamed of running your own website? A website can be lots of fun (and can even make money for you!), if you’re willing to put some work into it. Designing and mainataining a good website is not easy, try to follow the guidelines on this site in order to make the process a lot easier. First Step The first thing you need to do is decide on what kind of website you want to make. Is it a personal or non-profit website? Or is it a buisness website? You have to choose intersting content as well. A website about yourself might not attract as many visitors as a gaming site, for example. Choose content people need, and want. That way, you will soon have lots of people visiting your website.
Second Step It doesnt cost anything (unless you want a domain, and hosting), because there are many space providers out there that would be more than happy to give you some space, because most space providers make you put advertising messages on your site. If you want to set up a buisness website, it is recommended you pay a couple of hundered bucks for hosting and a domain, but it is also possible to start the website on a free server and move on from there.
Third Step After you’ve decided on what content you are going to provide, and you have choosen a host, its time to move on to the tricky part, making your website. You dont have to know HTML, and you dont have to know how to make graphics, in order to create a good website. There are plenty of tools that help you make you website, and plenty of web sites that will give you free graphics for your site. Make your site easy to read and navigate. It can get hard and frustrating, but dont give up. You will be very proud of yourself once you finished.
Fourth Step So know you have your website designed, its time to upload it to your server and start advertising it. If you dont advertise your website, it will be hard for people to get to it. You can add your web site to search engines, join free banner exchanges, use paid advertising, and much more. Dont worry if nobody comes to your site even after you advertisid it, it takes time. Tell people about it, post it on message boards, and people will start coming.
Fifth Step When your site starts to get visitors, it will be a good thing to update it and add new information to it, that would keep your visitors coming back. If your site gets very popular, and even if it does not, you can put up some advertising ads on it and make some money!
