OBJECTIVES:

culture/ community

the basic techniques of Chinese painting

a painting with ideas from Chinese paintings
PROCESS:

visit an exhibition of Chinese
paintings/ show slides of a brief introduction over all the periods
of Chinese painting

discuss
on the differences between Chinese paintings and the paintings of the
students' community/ traditional culture

introduce
the Chinese paintings from the pre-historical
time to Han dynasties with this website/ slides and handouts
-
divide
the class into groups, each group chooses a topic of that period, and
then make a report on the characteristics with more references provided
by the teacher or library
