It is not necessary because it causes destruction, takes precious lives and damages the surroundings. The radiation given off by the nuclear bombs pollutes the air and causes the environment to be unsafe.  It con tributes to the greenhouse effect and thus, the sun's rays become more harmful.  People are then more prone to skin cancer and heat stroke.  Innocent lives will be at stake.  War is totally necessary.  It is just a show of power, greed and corruption due to male chauvinism.  A war will not only waste lives, it will also waste money to make the bombs and also to repair the damages at the end of the war.  Nuclear bombs are very powerful.  Not only a few lives will be taken but a million lives will be lost.  The effect will be disastrous.

   On the other hand, in certain cases, it is necessary to have nuclear warfare.   For example, to stop the conquering done by a rival that is very powerful or to stop a bigger war from happening.  For instance, it was totally unnecessary to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki because Japan was being aggressive towards the Asians who were being tortured.   The bombs were dropped to make Japan surrender and also to end the torturous war in the Asian and Pacific region.  

   In conclusion, we still feel that nuclear warfare is not necessary.
