Although the Holocaust targeted various groups (communists, gypsies, homosexuals, the physically and mentally handicapped), the group that suffered the most was the European Jews. Hitler and the Nazis used their power to influence others to follow their views of anti-Semitism and Aryanization and unleashed horrific violence and inhumane forces upon the Jews. As a result of Hitler's actions, the Jewish community in Europe lost two-thirds of its members. This is a clear case of the abuse of power.
