"The ThinkQuest Internet Challenge is an international program for students ages 12 through 19. Thinkquest encourages students and adults alike to use the Internetas a powerful tool to concoct unique educational pages. Students form teams with others from around the world. Coaches mentor these teams as they discover the power of the internet. Despite the $1 million in scholarships awarded each year, student participants get something out of the competition that money can't even equal- collaboration, leadership and critical thinking skills that help raise their level of education and technological expertise. The web pages are made within thse five categories: Arts & Literature, Science & Mathematics, Social Sciences, Sports & Health and Interdisciplinary. The finalists then have the chance to attend the ThinkQuest Awards Weekend where they compete for the scholarships. "
