Mumuleanu Barbu Paris (1794-1836) is the author of the volumes of poems: Rost de poezie, adeca stihuri (1820), Caracteruri (The Characters) (1825), Poezii (Poems) (1837).

He wrote erotic poems, bacchiac, full of spontaneity and humor in a language related to the spoken one.

His satires aim human typologies and their plows generated by the lack of education: Cei mari (The big ones), Lingusitorii (The Flatterers), Bogatul mojic (The Cad Rich Man), Ipocritul (The Hypocrite) - in order to criticize the uneducated upper class.

In his last volume he wrote a meditative lyric concerned with aspects of the existence (Vreme suie si coboara).
