AAA | Filimon Nicolae (1819-1865) was a self-educated man for all his life. |
| He completed the education he got around the church Evei in Bucharest or in some houses of nobles. | ||
| He had a prolific publicist activity imploring as one of our first musical and dramatic chronicles. | ||
| He wrote a voyage journal Voyages to Meridional Germany Artistically historical and critical memoirs. | ||
| He selects impressions about the cities The trip to Vienna, The pictures’ gallery from Belvedere, the schonbrunn Cartle. | ||
| Together with P Ispirescu he chose legends which he printed in the magazine of the time. | ||
| Thus, in Taranul Roman (The Romanian Peasant) appeared The Flower Man with Silky Beard, Fat-Frumos’ Story, The Stone Man. | ||

He
wrote two romantic short-stories full of the epoch’s chinches:
Frederich Stoaps or the Attempt from Schonbrunn against Napoleon I
and Mateo
Cipian. |

The physiologies of the period ’48 which illustrated representative social types are continued by N. Filimon in short-story and novel. |

The
short-story The misfortunes of
a servaut or the outskirts’ gentle men 1861 propose a typical
portrait of the servant. |
