FEET

The Right Foot

The feet are sometimes the hardest parts to draw, since they are most often viewed at a foreshortened angle.  The best way to draw feet is to block them in lightly using simple geometric shapes and then adding detail.  Note the tendons in the feet and the creases.  The outside of the ankle should protrude more than the inside.  Again, observe your feet in different perspectives to get an idea of how they are formed.  Shading is also important in creating a realistic looking foot.  Click on the image on the left to see a larger version.
