Grids are helpful in drawing the outline. It assists in the development of your
observational skills by cutting down a large image so you can focus at one small space at
a time. It is most helpful in increasing or decreasing the size of the image you want to
produce.
We provide five basic poses and four exercises per pose. The 'simple'
exercises
change only a little in size, but the rest will more than double or be decreased more than
one half of original size. Print out the two images provided and draw the
outline of each
photo onto the grid. This exercise is to practice outline and proportion only, so the
grid is not removable. However you can draw a grid in pencil and finish the shading of
each image.
