Just think about being the first person to trya witchetty grub. How brave are you? How about having an Alien foodparty where your guests ( or students ) bring their favourite unusualfood to try and you supply the drinks. Set a formal table in the gardenand look for the Aboriginal constellations ( hehehe I remember giving myfriends salty plums to try and watching their faces when they bravely stuckthe whole thing into their mouths instead of licking or nibbling it first!!!)
What about trying banksia nectar - the fresh flowerswould make a great table decoration ( just pick the whole 'flower' andlick it or lick it right on the bush, watch out for ants in the daytimeand possums at night, they love it too)
Have you tried oysters, goat's cheese rolled inashes, pine nuts, seaweed, snails? Next time you are shopping, stop atthe delicatessen and ask for a nibble of something new.
