Astronomy is an amazing science. It covers such a wide variety of subjects, and such a wide variety of places. There's astrochemistry, high-energy astronomy, astrobiology, radio astronomy, astrophysics, and even astrocooking, for those who need to cook in zero G. The purpose of this web site is to give you basic knowledge on the subject so that you can hopefully learn something interesting. This site is not just a bunch of mathematical equations and star charts, though. We have pictures, star gazing tips, information on our planets, and more.

This section outlines the basic principles that you should know when star gazing, as well as tips, such as how to read a star chart.

After learning to star gaze, you'll want to learn about the nine planets in our solar system and see pictures of them taken by space probes.

Astronomy isn't just about the planets within our solar system. Astronomers also study deep space objects, and you can learn about a famous deep space astronomer in this section.

This section contains many breath-taking pictures of deep space objects which were nearly invisible until the space age. Each image is accompanied by an interesting explanation of the object.

Every once in awhile a special astronomical event happens. This section describes meteor showers, solar and lunar eclipses, and comets.

This is a list of links to some high quality and interesting astronomy sites that we found on the internet.

Our message board allows you to talk with others interested in astronomy all over the world.

This is a list of the books and internet sites which we used during our research, as well as image permissions.
