Project 1: Playwrite
In a group of four write a script for a play
on the Fall of Constaniople or another important event that
occured in the Renaissance. It should include:
1. A famous person from the Renaissance
2. A fight or battle of some sort
3. A representation of a change in culture from Medieval times
such as
an artwork or music
Project 2: Further Research
Do a reaserch project on one of the following
sections on the Renaissance. This will increase the students
awareness of the topic and its bredth of information much
more clearly.
- Politics
- Italian Wars
- Turkish Threat
- Art
- Music
- Reformation
- Science and Technology
- The fall of the Spanish Empire
Project 3: Reporter
Believe you are a repoter for a news paper
or a television channel and write an article about a major
event that occured during the Renaissance period as if you
were reporting during the times. This is a fun exercize that
many secondary teachers enjoy giving their students and should
create alot of enthusiasm on the topic.
Project 4: Extra Improvement
Reasearch one of the topics within this site
to further detail and report on what you would add to improve
it. This is for the people who love history and those teachers
who are teaching in-depth history courses. With this project
this site should only act as a framework on what the student
might wish to research.

Project 5: Debating
Get into two groups of three students have
a debate about a relevant topic in the renaissance with your
teacher as an adudicator. A debate might bring out some interesting
aspects of the Renaissance period which we would be happy
for you to share with us.
Topics:
1. That the Renaissance was the turning point in modern history
2. That Leonardo Da Vinci had the greatest effect of all Renaissance
artists
3. That the Renaissance was only an idea and not a reality
Project 6: Speech
Pick a topic and do a 6-8 min speach infront
of a group of colleagues.
Make sure that the speech includes some creative research
and some good speaking habits. This will help students gain
a better understanding of their topic because for them to
be able to speak it they have to understand the topic first.
