Eurynome was the mother of The Graces, and a daughter of The Ocean. She also aided in the care and protection of Hephaestus when he was thrown from Olympus by Zeus. The crippled God stayed under the gentle care of Eurynome for almost a decade till Hephaestus rejoined the gods as their black smith.
