Yes I agree that it helps to know who was responsible for the dirty tricks of the past. For example I now know who it was that shot buckshot through my window late on evening during the 1980's. It was a security policeman as we suspected. I think families have also been helped by the TRC who found the graves of their family members who were killed during Vlakplaas operations.
