PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT I: Reasoning Test and SAT II: Writing Test. It is a great test to take if you're planning on taking the SAT as it will give you a good idea of what the SAT will be like.

The PSAT also gives you a chance to qualify for National Merit Scholarship Corporation's (NMSC) scholarship programs. Those who do especially well on the test may win scholarships in this program.

The PSAT/NMSQT measures your critical reading, math problem-solving, and writing skills. To prepare for the PSAT we suggest that you prepare for it just like you would prepare for the SAT. Get a good book on the PSAT and practice some of the questions.

Taking our SAT Training Course will also help you out as the same tips and principles apply.
