Up Getting Information Applying for Aid
|
As
strange as it may seem, it is actually quite easy to get information out of the
government. All you have to know is where to get it. There are free financial aid
materials available in the financial aid office at your school. But you can also
get a lot of information on your own.
- Free information about state programs may be obtained from the state
education agency (usually in the capital of your state). The Federal Student
Aid Information Center also has information about many state student aid
programs. Call the Center to get the phone numbers for your state.
- The U.S. Department of Education has put together The
Student Guide, its a free booklet about financial aid.
-
Project EASI -
Project EASI (Easy Access for Students and Institutions) is a collaborative
program of the government, business, and higher education. Its purpose is to
rework the
student financial aid delivery process.
