A two year program will usually lead to an associates degree and will launch you into your career in half the time as college takes. Two year colleges are generally the least expensive way to go to college.

There are two kinds of two-year programs. There are two-year programs for students who plan on transferring into a four-year program after receiving their associates and there are occupational programs for students who want to launch into a specific career.

Occupational programs -

These programs provide students with just enough knowledge to begin a career in certain occupations. Occupations and fields that are generally studied under a two-year program include: Accounting, Administrative Medical Assistant, Advertising, Automotive Technology, Air Traffic Control, child Care Assistant, construction Technology, Law Enforcement, Data Processing, Dental Hygiene, Dental Laboratory Technician, Fashion Merchandising, Fire Protection Technology, Horticulture, Restaurant Management, Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Nursing, Real Estate, Respiratory Therapy, Sales, and Tourism.
