We welcome you to Amuse Me: A Website on the Physics of Amusement Parks. Although millions of people visit these thrilling places, very few realize that each is one of the "world's largest physics labs". Without this knowledge, many people still have questions about their riding experience: What powers the roller coaster? What keeps a Ferris wheel steady? What cause the feeling of weightlessness? …free fall? …being pushed forward? The answers to all these questions and much more are contained on this site! For those who don't care for roller coasters and such will still find the physics information useful. So, we encourage everyone to board the ride, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
