IV- Soil Pollution:

The cultivable soil may be polluted by many compounds which differ from the mineral and organic components of the soil. All these pollutants reach the soil with irrigation water or wind or may be dissolved in rain water. They may be in the form of particles of insecticides or herbicides or may be as industrial refuse or even gaseous or radioactive remains.
Some of these compounds may decompose slowly in the soil, while others dissolve in the irrigation water quickly. The plants absorb them and they can then be transmitted to animals. Finally, these pollutants reach man through eating meat and drinking milk.
