2-Effects of Water Pollution:

         Water Pollution has many effects. Water contaminated with microbes transmits various diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dysentery, hepatitis and infantile paralysis. These disease are associated with disposal of wastes by throwing them into water without first treating them.

        Bathing in polluted water leads to infection with some diseases such as bilharziasis. Also, contaminated water used for irrigation pollutes vegetables that are eaten fresh. Therefore, vegetables and fruits must be thoroughly washed with clean water before they are eaten.

        It may also affect the reproduction of fish due to the accumulation of deposits on the bottom and thus provide an unsuitable medium for the hatching of fish eggs.
