Storsjoodjuret or Storsjödjuret

The Storsjoodjuret or Storsjödjuret has a long neck with a flat head. Its length varies from 10 to 40 feet long (3.5 to 24 metres) and a width of 1 to 1.25 metres. . Its head is huge and cat-like with round eyes. Ears are pressed against its neck. Its body is serpent-like with humps.

    It inhabits Lake Storsjön (or Storsjon) in Sweden.

    Reports have been frequent since the 1960s.

    The wash from a passing boat or gas bubbles coming up form cracks in the lake bottom may have caused the impression of a monster.
