Mediums

Most physical mediums tend to specialize in certain effects only. A septic would say that concentrating on one effect would be easier and better as the result will be more impressive. Mediums would often say that the difference between one and another medium’s phenomena is the result of the predilections of their spirit guide, and as a matter outside their own control.

No medium claims to get contact with spirit on the ‘other side’ directly. It has almost became a convection, between mediums, to have a ‘guide’ or ‘control’ ---spirit of a dead person who is seemingly more advanced than other ---with whom they initially make contact, and who in turn mediates between the medium and the rest of the spirit world. No one seem to question why this should be so (perhaps everyone has such a ‘guardian angel’, but only mediums have the good fortune to be able to communicate with their angel). But mediums did not seem to have any difficulty accepting it, nor do they balk at the remarkable number of shamans or Zulus who seem to figure among spirit guide. And if one wants to argue about the truth or falsehood of mediums, these are details, so there are better and larger grounds for dealing with the truth of their claims.

Proofs that spirits do communicate with mediums

Different mediums have different phenomena. Some hear the voices of the dead, and some produce physical phenomena, which offer a concrete proof that life exist after death. The fact that these phenomena are outside the control of the mediums is a proof that only the spirits could have produced them.

Many phenomena support the point that spirits do exist. Some of them which are staid and reliable, are paranormal and apparently intelligently produced raps, disembodied voices speaking through ‘trumpets’, which are paper or cardboard megaphone. Others include spirits possessing onto the medium and speaking in their own voice and things appearing from nowhere.
