So far, there is no explanation for the ghostly image in this picture. When this picture was taken, no one saw the ghost, but the little boy seemed to have seen the ghost.

This picture was taken in the 1960s by the vicar of the church, Rev. K.F. Lord in Newby Church. The ghost was not visible to the priest when he took it.

Two phantom faces which had the features of two sailors who had died in an accident on the voyage down the Pacific coast of America and had been buried at sea. Picture taken on board the oil tanker SS Watertown in December 1924.
