Chupacabra, El Chupacabras, or the Goatsucker

It is about 4 feet tall.  The face is flat, some people say it is covered with spots and has spikes on its head. It has very large, slanted, glowing eyes. The Chupacabra is two legged and has been seen to hop or fly.  It preys on farm animals by draining an animal's blood from two holes near the base of the neck. Sometimes, organs are found to have vanished, without any sign of them being taken out.

The Chupacabra was first sighted in early 1995 in Puerto Rico. Along with in Puerto Rico, it has now been sighted in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, Florida, California, and Texas.

Government authorities blame the death of animals on practitioners of Satanism, Santeria, or Vodun.

In many places, there are T-shirts on sale in many stores. One store said that they were sold out three times in a month! There is also a Chupacabra homepage, which has been very successful. Radio stations are even playing songs which are dedicated to this beast.
