Ghosts & Apparitions

Ghost is a term for soul or spirit. It is a nonmaterial embodiment of an organism. Basically, it is the spirit of a dead spirit that makes itself known to the living.

History

About 200 years ago, with the development of scientific methods of research, people began to doubt the existence of ghosts. The scientific method requires evidences and proofs to support the belief, but there was not any. Some people tried to gather evidence, but it was very difficult. One main reason was, ghosts never seem to show up in places where there are competent observers.

Given some specious evidence, a credulous collection of witnesses, and a background of fear, a ghost will make itself heard, seen or felt.

The most skeptical and practical of people can believe that they have genuinely seen a ghost. In short, the key to ghost stories may be the witness, not the ghost. And the most common presumption about ghosts is that they are spirits, or at least the inexplicably immaterial records of people once alive and now dead.

But ghost may not necessary be of people. Modern accounts of ghost vehicles are rife with phantom trains, buses, ships, cars and even aircrafts.
