Brief Description:
Europium is hard (about as hard as lead) and is fairly ductile. it is the most reactive of the rare-earth elements, and oxidizes extremely rapidly in air, but resembles calcium in its reaction with water. Europium can ignite in the air at about 150 to 180°C.
