| Audrey Hepburn's real name was Edda Van Heemstra Hepburn-Ruston. She was born on 4 May 1929 at Brussels, Belgium She was sent to a girls school after her parents divorce. Hepburn had grown up in London and spent part of her childhood trapped in Nazi-occupied Holland while on vacation. During the war years, She studied at a local public school. She received ballet training at the Arnhem Conservatory. She began to receive modelling offers from fashion photographers. She joined Felix Aylmers acting classes in the early 50s and began playing bit parts in British movies. |
