We all know that we are living at a very important time. Not only are we in the start of a whole new millenium but we are also at the verge of a whole new kind of technology. In the past 2 hundred years, we have been using machines and motors, but now we are seeing more and more of electronic objects.

These are some of the devices in store for this millenium....

2000-2050

In the near future losing a key will be a thing of the past. Recognition systems will automaticly scan fingerprints, D.N.A, or iris's.

By 2005, students will have access to museums and galleries worldwide via virtual reality.

"Flexiviewer" A computer developed to fit in a pocket.

"Dataphone" is a cellular phone that allows images, text and other visual data on a detachable eyepiece.

Miniature memory cards which store music.

In the year 2010, accurate weather forecasts will be given out a month in advance.It is estimated that by 2010, 20% of purchases will be over the internet.

By 2015 students will have access to museums and galleries worldwide via virtual reality.

"Medi-beds" will monitor peoples health and if neccesary, alert doctors.

By 2015 a 3d holographic sculptures will be a center piece in most homes.

By the year 2025, some scientists believe that it will be possible to detect earthquakes before they happen.
