Quadratic Formula

Now we introduce the equation to solve those non - factorable polynomials.

The quadratic equation -b ± [sq root of] (b² - 4ac)

                                                      2a

Where the numbers are substituted from ax² + bx -c = 0

Example:

x² - 2x -24

 2 ± [sq root] (4 - (4)(1)(-24))      2 ± 10      6 , - 4

                     2                                  2
