ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM

Electric Current: I = q / t

I - current;  q - quantity of charge;  t - time

Coulomb's Law of Electrostatistics:  F = k [(q1*q2) / d2]

F - force between two charges;  k - proportionality constant;  q1*q2 - product   d - distance separating charges                                                         of charges

Capacitance of a Capacitor:  C = q / v

C - capacitance of a capacitorV - potential difference between plates

q - charge of either plate

Ohm's Law of Resistance:  E = I*R

E - electromagnetic force of source;  I - current in the circuit;  R - resistance of                                                                                                    the circuit

Joule's Law:  Q = I2*R*t

Q - heat energy;  I - current;  R - resistance;  t - time

Faraday's Law of Electrolysis:  m = z*I*t

m - mass;  z - electrochemical equivalent;  I - current;  t - time
