X and Y intercepts

X - intercepts - a mathematical term used to define the points when y = 0 during that equation (or when the equation crosses the x-axis)

Example:

y = x² - 4  (x-2)(x+2) when x = 2, -2 so the intercepts are at (2,0), (-2,0)

Y - intercepts - a mathematical term used to define the points when x = 0 during that equation (or when the equation crosses the y-axis).
