Graphing Linear Equations

Graphing Lines:

If you are forgot your graphing calculator or currently unable to use one click here for a java enhanced graphing calculator, but please be patient its 225Kb and it takes a while to download.  [Graph Calc]

We also recommend you visit www.graphcalc.com and download their free graphing calculator, so you don't always have to be connected to the internet in order to have a fully functional calculator.

Graph the line Y=X

In mathematics we use points to pinpoint where to place the dot on the graph.

In the above question when y=1, x=1 we draw the table as such

X     Y

-1     -1

0       0

1       1

2       2

In your graphing of this equation your line should go through these points.

Remember: when writing points separately the y-coordinate (point) goes first then the x-coordinate.

 Exp: (1,1) when y=1,x=1
