The Art Deco Era, was mainly between the two world wars (1920 to 1939).  This was style influenced many other types of art.  This style has a theme which was the modernization of artistic styles.  This style used zigzag patterns and vertical lines to create an effect on the jazz age.  This style was often inspired by some of those ancient civilizations (i.e. Egyptian, Mayan, etc.).
