| The
Greek Revival, because during the mid 19th century in
America because of the common sprit of democracy many
people associated between the two cultures. This
style began with a building in Philadelphia, and soon
spread across the south soon becoming the most popular
style in the United States. The style was even
called the National style. Some of the features of
buildings in the Greek Revival were, pediment gable,
symmetrical shape, heavy cornice, wide, plain frieze,
bold, and they had simple moldings.
