The Neoclassical Era is broken down into four categories, Federalist, Idealist, Rationalist, Greek Revival (which we will talk about in its own section).  This style was considered the frivolous excess of the Rococo style.  There is one artist, Jacques-Louis David, who is credited for introducing the Neoclassical style.  This style was influenced by David's paintings of ancient furniture.

We regret to inform you that we did not find enough information on the Federalist, Rationalist, or Idealist styles to write about them, only that they exist.
