Hi! My name is Joel and I am 17 years old. I live in Pennsylvania, USA, and I am going into 11th grade. I participated in the ThinkQuest challenge last year, and was lucky enough to be chosen as a finalist. The awards ceremony in California was a great experience and I would like to thank the entire ThinkQuest staff for it.
Besides ThinkQuest, I am on the swim team at my High School, and the Marching band. I also have a job. Our swim team and marching band participate on a state level, and they take up a lot of my free time!
This year, I had a lot of fun doing our ThinkQuest entry. It was very exciting talking with my teammates from all over the world, and I gained a lot of experience from working on an international team.
If any of you are interested in making a ThinkQuest entry, I would definantly recommend it. The experience and rewards gained from this contest are immeasurable! Thanks TQ!

My name is Sytse, I'm a 17 year old lad from Holland. I live in Wijk bij Duurstede, a small town in the middle of the country. This year I'm having my final year on High School.
I'm participating in the ThinkQuest contest because of my brother. He participated two times himself, and got to the finals both times. He had so much fun doing it, that I decided to participate myself this year, and I must say, it's a lot of fun! If you think of participating yourself (which is good, fun guaranteed), you'll have to put a lot of work in the site, to make it a nice one.
In my spare time (besides school) I work on the company I have together with the same brother. We provide all kinds of internet services, so that is kind of related to what you do on the contest!
I wish you lots of fun surfing our site!=)

Hi you guys out there, wanna know something about me? Well, here's something about me!
I'm 13, and am currently studying in The Chinese High School, Singapore. This is my first year doing Thinkquest and I am really excited about that! I hope to gain a real lot of experience this year and end up like my seniors, Galvin and Kaijie, doing well in Thinkquest!
Uncountable knowledge and skills have I gained while doing this project. The best thing I learnt was to communicate with people from overseas, online. Thanks to all my team members, I have understood the importance of being responsible and trustworthy, keeping to schedules, and with this, the results will ultimatly be rewarding! This year's Thinkquest experience, although the first for me, has indeed been extraordinarily fulfilling.
I have not really participated in any international competitions, but I do indeed have some designing experience after starting a free logo/ad banner design service which lasted for one week(holidays). Since I started using Adobe Photoshop about one year go, my interest for web designing have grown tremendously. I hope, once again, through this maiden Thinkquest experience, I learn more and perform well.
That's all folks, have a nice day!

Just doing enough to get by... won't get it done.

I found your "Energy Planet" web site through a link from thinkquest.org.
Each month, in our "Projects online" column, a young person presents
his/her web project in his/her own words. I have a free slot in the
coming issue.
Interested? Then e-mail me ASAP at l.legg@spotlight-verlag.com
(NOT at the above address!).
I'll send you details on what I need for the presentation.

Best regards,
