Looking into the Future
Gaia is like a living organism and is subjected to illness and injuries. Besides having the ability to practise self-healing, she also has the power to cope with many accidents and diseases. However, the humans on Earth behave in some way like pathogenic microorganism. or like the cells of a tumour. The population of mankind has grown in number and in disturbance to Gaia, to a point where our presenc is perceptibly disabling like a disease. The poor Gaia is suffering from Disseminated Primatemaia, a plague of people.
There are only four possible outcomes to the relationship between Gaia and Man:
No 1: Gaia wipes out the human clan.
No 2: Gaia and the human beings settle down to a long period of war.
No 3: The humans destroy Gaia and the humans will perish after some time.
No 4: Gaia and the human clan settle down to a lasting period of peace.
We have come up with our original ideas of putting Gaia and Man into our daily situations with three interesting relationships:
